CCA is the first institution of its kind in Central Asia—a permanent center for contemporary art, research, and public engagement, located in the heart of historic Tashkent.
The Tashkent Centre for Contemporary Art is the first institution in Central Asia to integrate exhibition, research, and educational practices in the field of contemporary art. Located in a reconstructed historic building from the early 20th century, the CCA offers a dynamic platform for creative exchange, interdisciplinary projects, and international collaboration. Under the artistic direction of Dr. Sara Raza, the Centre shapes a contemporary cultural agenda and opens new opportunities for the development of contemporary art in Uzbekistan.
