The Nationwide Children’s Library under the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation is opening a vacancy for a Chess Teacher. We are looking for a teacher who will lead regular chess sessions for children and adults, help participants develop both basic and advanced skills, foster strategic thinking, and support the steady development of the chess club.
Responsibilities
— Deliver regular chess lessons for children and adults;
— Select and adapt appropriate teaching methods for different age groups and levels;
— Foster a culture of play based on respect, focus and patience;
— Organise seasonal tournaments.
We expect from the candidate:
— Experience in playing and teaching chess to different age groups and levels (from beginners to confident players);
— The ability to inspire, explain clearly and encourage learners;
— Proficiency in Uzbek and Russian;
— Attentiveness, reliability and a friendly manner.
Conditions
— Part-time position;
— On-site work at the library in Tashkent;
